Our relationships can hold great rewards, and, at times, great pain. People require physical and emotional contact with others, but this need is complicated...relationships are complicated. Because relationships are so important, it is equally important that those relationships be part of emotional healing, even when others cannot be present in the counseling room. My philosophy is that work with clients is collaborative. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most powerful tool I can bring to the table. Although I may present many methods to assist clients in healing, I believe that a trusting relationship with a client is the foundation to all other work done.
