Psychotherapist
2323 S Shepherd Dr, #850, Houston, TX
I’m a crisis and trauma therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor–Supervisor (LPC-S) with more than 13 years of experience helping people navigate some of life’s most difficult and overwhelming moments. My career began on a crisis response team, where I learned the importance of meeting people exactly where they are—often in moments of intense uncertainty, pain, and change. Over the years, my work has expanded into clinical leadership, and I now serve as the Clinical Director of my clinic. I specialize in working with first responders, veterans, and victims of crime, as well as first responder and veteran families. I also work with crisis and trauma professionals in the medical field who experience the unique emotional demands that come with caring for others, responding to emergencies, and repeatedly being exposed to trauma. My clinical work is supported by specialized training in trauma, veterans, and moral injury. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional – Level II (CCPT-II), a Certified Moral Injury Specialist, and a Certified Veteran Therapist through the Texas Veterans Commission. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor–Supervisor (LPC-S) and serve on a professional advisory board. My connection to the first responder and military communities is personal as well. I was raised by a Recon Marine and also grew up with a father who worked in law enforcement. These experiences gave me an early understanding of the culture, values, expectations, and sacrifices that can shape service members, first responders, and their families. That personal connection, combined with my clinical training and more than 13 years of experience working in crisis and trauma, informs the way I approach this work—with respect, curiosity, and an appreciation for experiences that aren't always easy to put into words. If you’re tired of feeling stuck or living a life that doesn’t feel like the life you want, something has to change. Change happens when we’re willing to change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you don’t have to navigate difficult experiences alone. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I tailor therapy to each individual because no two people experience trauma, stress, or healing in exactly the same way.I believe in meeting people where they are—not where they think they should be. Whether you’re struggling with the aftermath of a traumatic experience, carrying the weight of your profession, supporting a loved one, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can provide a space to slow down, understand what’s happening, and begin moving forward. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting what happened or pretending that everything is okay. It means learning how to move forward without allowing the past to continue defining your present.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My role is to help you identify what that change can look like, take it one step at a time, and work toward a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and authentically yours. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you begin. We can start exactly where you are.
