Getting to know Molly Jelak

Hello, my name is Molly Jelak, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I serve clients statewide through telehealth, specializing in anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to equip my clients with effective tools for their mental health concerns, aiming to provide relief and enhance their quality of life. My approach is client-centered and focused on the individual at the core of my treatment. I find modalities like CBT and ACT effective because they prioritize the client's needs. It's important to me that my clients feel seen and included throughout their treatment journey, helping them gain more purpose and satisfaction in daily life. I primarily serve adults, working with individuals facing mild to moderate mental health concerns, as well as those with severe and persistent mental illness. I have extensive experience with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and ADHD. Whether you're seeking therapy for the first time, returning after a break, or have been in therapy for years, I have the clinical expertise to meet you where you are and help you improve your life. My communication style is gentle, reassuring, and direct. I aim to create a comfortable and safe environment where clients can express themselves freely, feeling heard and never judged. My sessions provide a truly safe space to explore your needs, with opportunities to laugh and find joy. My journey to mental healthcare began in college when I wasn't sure what to major in, but I knew I wanted to help people. I knew that if I was helping people, I would be happy. This clarity led me to pursue a Master's in Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University, and I'm grateful for that decision. I've worked as a social worker, crisis worker, and clinical therapist, and in each role, I have deepened my commitment to supporting others on their mental health journeys.
