Monica Griffin, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CT
I'm a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University. My work focuses on treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, childhood sexual and physical abuse, and trauma/PTSD in children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. I also have experience teaching parenting skills and strengthening communication with loved ones. I am client-centered and solution-focused in my approach. I start where you are and bring compassion and curiosity as we collaboratively work toward your goals. Being fully present with you and affirming your worthiness of love and care is my commitment every session. I provide a safe, welcoming space where you can be open without fear of judgment. I weave vulnerability, humor, warmth, honesty, and insight into our work together. You know yourself and your needs best. I welcome honest feedback and regularly foster open conversations about the effectiveness of therapy. I am a strong advocate for social justice and equity, especially within my therapy space. I am mindful of the systems that maintain disparities in power and oppression, and I discuss these openly and frankly when they significantly impact your life. I look forward to walking side-by-side with you on a journey of self-exploration that leads to healing and growth.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
