Monica McClain, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hello! I'm Monica, and I'm passionate about helping couples, families, and individuals cultivate healthy and productive relationships. As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the state of Texas, I bring a wealth of experience and dedication to my practice. With a career that began as a special education teacher, I spent 17 years in public education conducting psycho-educational assessments to diagnose children with disabilities. This foundation has given me a deep understanding of children's mental and behavioral health. After transitioning to private practice over a decade ago, I've had the privilege of working extensively in substance abuse treatment at several drug treatment centers. I specialize in a range of areas including addiction, anger management, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, children's and adolescent mental/behavioral health, depression, family and intimate relationships, learning disorders, stress, and trauma. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, my goal is to help you navigate life's challenges and find a path to peace and fulfillment. In my practice, I emphasize the importance of communication and organic connections. I believe that strong relationships are built on trust, understanding, and open dialogue. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Together, we can work towards creating a healthier, happier life for you and your loved ones. On a personal note, I've been married for 18 years and have two wonderful children. When I'm not working, I love traveling with my family, getting lost in a good book, and hiking with my husband and our two dogs. These experiences enrich my life and keep me grounded, allowing me to bring a balanced perspective to my work.
