As a counselor, my focus is on creating a safe, compassionate environment where clients can explore their emotions, confront challenges, and unlock their potential for growth. I believe that a strong therapeutic connection is key to meaningful change, and my approach is centered on fostering empathy, understanding, and trust. I specialize in working with individuals navigating life transitions such as divorce, grief, relationship challenges, and self-esteem or body image issues. I also have extensive experience working with teens and young adults, helping them build self-confidence and resilience in the face of life's pressures. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Political Science from Southern Methodist University (SMU), and later pursued a Master’s degree in Counseling at SMU. My academic training includes coursework in play therapy, adolescent counseling, parenting education, and group counseling. I completed my practicum and internship at the SMU Center for Family Counseling, where I gained hands-on experience working with clients of all ages dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and disordered eating. It is my privilege to support clients in their journey toward healing and self-discovery, and to guide them toward creating lasting positive change in their lives. I believe that your needs are unique and the foundation of all counseling work is a strong therapeutic relationship; and therefore, our work together will be tailored to your needs – therapy is not one size fits all. I would be honored to join you on your journey towards healing, growth, and greater life satisfaction. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Political Science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. During my undergraduate studies, I served as a research assistant where I studied the impact of chronic pain on emotional affect.
