Having someone who listens and truly understands can make all the difference in navigating life’s challenges. Throughout my career, including my training at Columbia University where I earned a Master’s in Clinical Social Work, I have witnessed the power of empathy and have had the privilege of supporting individuals facing a range of adversities, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
What should a new client know about working with you?
As a 1st generation Asian-American woman, I understand the unique challenges that come with navigating cultural identity, family expectations, and mental health stigmas within the Asian-American community. I aim to provide a space where your experiences are understood and validated.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I am dedicated to creating a safe and authentic space for all my my clients in order for them to explore their true inner selves. I believe therapy is a collaborative and flexible process, tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.
By using various techniques such as psychoeducation, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and mindfulness practices, I aspire to help my clients gain new insights and achieve personal growth.
