Psychotherapist
NY
believe meaningful therapy begins with feeling genuinely seen, understood, and safe enough to be yourself. I am a licensed psychotherapist and Certified Sex Therapist specializing in relationships, sexual wellness, anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. I work with individuals and couples who may appear successful and capable on the outside while privately navigating disconnection, difficult relationship patterns, intimacy concerns, past experiences, or simply the desire to understand themselves more deeply. My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to the person in front of me. I integrate evidence-based practices including EMDR, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral approaches, and sex therapy while creating space for honest conversations about the parts of life and relationships that can sometimes feel difficult to discuss elsewhere. Therapy does not have to feel cold or clinical. I strive to create an experience where you can slow down, explore what is beneath the surface, strengthen your relationships, reconnect with yourself, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are becoming.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect me to be warm, engaged, thoughtful, and collaborative. I am not a therapist who simply sits back and listens without offering direction. I will ask meaningful questions, help you recognize patterns, offer clinical insight, and gently challenge you when doing so can support your growth. At the same time, therapy is not one-size-fits-all. We will move at a pace that respects your experiences, needs, and goals. My role is not to tell you who you should be, but to help you understand yourself more deeply and create meaningful change in the areas that matter most to you. I apply a multicultural approach to integrate considerate care that aligns with the client's values in life. For couples, I create space for both partners to feel heard while helping you move beyond recurring conflicts and toward greater emotional and physical connection. In sex therapy, conversations about intimacy, desire, sexual concerns, identity, and relationships are approached openly and without judgment. Above all, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can bring your whole self. Including the complicated parts, the hopeful parts, and everything in between.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins by getting to know you beyond a list of symptoms. During our initial sessions, we will explore what brought you to therapy, relevant experiences and relationship patterns, what is currently feeling difficult, and what you would like your life or relationships to look like differently. Together, we will identify meaningful goals and develop an individualized approach to treatment. Depending on your needs, our sessions may include deeper exploration of emotions and patterns, practical strategies for navigating current challenges, relationship and communication work, trauma processing, EMDR, or sex therapy interventions. For couples, we may explore communication cycles, emotional connection, intimacy, trust, conflict, and the patterns that keep you feeling stuck. For individual clients, we may examine how past experiences intersect with your present relationships, self-perception, emotional well-being, and choices. Throughout the process, we will periodically revisit your goals and progress. Therapy is collaborative: I bring clinical expertise and curiosity, while you bring expertise in your own life. Together, we create space not only to address what hurts, but to build toward what you want.
