Getting to know Morgan Foster

Hi there, I'm Morgan! Hello! My name is Morgan Foster, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my Master of Education in School Counseling and Guidance Services from The Pennsylvania State University in 2020. Additionally, I am a Board Certified Music Therapist and received my Bachelor's degree from Temple University in 2016. I currently work as a middle school counselor and have 8 years of combined experience in mental health and school counseling. I focus on helping adolescents overcome and cope with anxiety, stress, and depression. My approach I utilize a strength-based, solution-focused, and trauma-informed approach to counseling. Evidence-based strategies and techniques provide you and your child with real-life skills to practice in day-to-day living, supported by a trained clinician. By meeting teens where they are through Music Therapy, I have the unique ability to build rapport easily and use their preferred medium in the therapeutic process. My focus I typically work with adolescents ages 10-18 who are struggling with depression, anxiety, or transitional life challenges. Clients do not need any musical "skills" to participate in music therapy; a simple appreciation for music is enough for this modality. My communication style I provide a welcoming and supportive counseling environment where teens feel safe sharing their struggles and concerns. Each session offers a consistent, friendly face who genuinely cares about your teen’s wellbeing. My strength-based approach empowers teens to use tools they already have and develop new ones to become the best version of themselves. My journey to mental healthcare My passion for music and supporting youth drove my journey to become an LPC and Music Therapist. I believe in the healing properties of music and its ability to connect individuals, especially within the therapist-client relationship.
