Psychotherapist
10448 W Garverdale Dr, Ste 606, Boise, ID
I am passionate about helping young adults and adults navigate life’s challenges, better understand themselves, and create meaningful, lasting change. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, and difficulties finding a healthy work-life balance. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals. I understand that everyone comes to therapy with different experiences, strengths, and challenges, so I work to create a supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based techniques to help clients understand the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we can identify patterns that may be contributing to stress or keeping you feeling stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and find healthier ways to respond to difficult situations and emotions. Therapy can also be a place to slow down and gain clarity when life feels overwhelming. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, recovering from difficult experiences, navigating a major transition, struggling in your relationships, or simply feeling like something needs to change, we will work together to identify what matters most to you and develop a path forward. My goal is to help you increase emotional clarity, strengthen your coping skills, build confidence, and feel more capable of navigating whatever life brings your way. Ultimately, I want therapy to help you create a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with who you want to be.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect therapy to be collaborative, supportive, and focused on the things that matter most to you. I believe you are the expert on your own experiences, and my role is to provide support, perspective, practical tools, and a safe space to help you move toward your goals. My approach is trauma-informed, which means I recognize how past experiences can influence the way we think, feel, respond to stress, and connect with others. I strive to create an environment where you feel safe, respected, and understood while allowing therapy to progress at a pace that works for you. I also believe therapy should provide practical skills that you can use outside of our sessions. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches, we may explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. We can identify patterns that are no longer serving you and develop healthier ways of responding to challenges. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You may know exactly what you want to change, or you may simply know that you feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or dissatisfied with some part of your life. We can begin there. My goal is for you to feel comfortable being honest about what you are experiencing and what you need from therapy. Together, we’ll work toward greater emotional clarity, healthier coping strategies, stronger confidence, and changes that feel meaningful and sustainable in your everyday life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions are focused on getting to know you and developing a clear understanding of what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about the challenges you’re currently experiencing, relevant experiences from your past, what is going well in your life, and what you would like to change. If you aren’t sure what your goals are yet, that’s okay—we can identify them together. From there, we’ll develop a treatment plan based on your individual needs and goals. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I tailor my approach to each client. Depending on what brings you to therapy, our work may focus on anxiety and stress management, processing trauma, navigating a life transition, improving relationships, strengthening self-esteem, creating healthier boundaries, or finding a more sustainable balance between work and the rest of your life. I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based techniques. We may explore connections between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, identify patterns that contribute to distress, and develop practical strategies you can use when challenges arise. Throughout therapy, we’ll continue to evaluate what is working and adjust our approach when needed. I view therapy as a collaborative process and encourage clients to provide feedback about what feels helpful. As you make progress, our focus can shift toward strengthening the skills and insights you’ve developed so they become part of your everyday life. My goal is for you to leave therapy with greater emotional clarity, increased confidence, practical coping tools, and a stronger sense that you can successfully navigate challenges as they arise.
