Morgan Rollins, LPC

Psychotherapist
CT
Hi there, I'm Morgan! Hello, my name is Morgan Rollins, and I appreciate the opportunity to potentially work with you in the future. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I strive to utilize approaches such as CBT, DBT, and Person-centered approaches - just to name a few - to guide clients toward their desired goals. My approach As a therapist I tend to utilize the following approaches to guide client closer to their desired goals: Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT); Dialectical-Behavioral (DBT); Trauma Focused-CBT; Mindfulness-Based; Client-Centered; Psychodynamic My focus I typically work with clients that range in different backgrounds and cultures, ages, and other social identifiers. I have experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and difficulties with adjustment. My communication style I attempt to create a warm and inviting environment for my clients to hopefully feel safe and comfortable enough to be vulnerable at their own pace. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist began with an increased awareness of how much my community lacked in mental health resources. Later on, I increased my knowledge of field during internships in high school which led me to attend college where I majored in Psychology and minored in Theology and Religious Studies. After receiving my undergraduate degree, I began to work for a non-profit organization and during that time I researched master's programs that would continue to ignite my passion. I then continued my studies at Fairfield University where I received a master's degree in Clinician Mental Health Counseling. From there I obtained the necessary clinical hours to become a License Professional Counselor. My goals for you Goal setting comes directly from the client but if the client seems to present as unsure of their goals, I hope to process with them further to determine their goals over time.
