Getting to know Morgan Sordo

Congratulations on taking the first step toward prioritizing your mental health and wellbeing. Finding the right provider is paramount to your therapeutic success. In any professional relationship, it is crucial to find your person. Think about your hairstylist or barber-you wouldn't go to just anyone; the same idea applies to your mental health providers. I feel honored to be part of the healing process that helps my clients reach their full potential. My ideal client is someone motivated to dive deep into self-discovery with my guidance. Learning more about oneself is the magic ingredient in a successful counseling outcome. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University, which has equipped me with the skills to support my clients effectively. My areas of expertise include working with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief or loss, life transitions, and family conflict. All too often in our society, the loss of pets goes unrecognized. As a fur mama, I am here to tell you they are significant losses. Other major, often overlooked losses I like to shine light on include ended relationships, miscarriages, and loss of health and/or abilities. Therapy can significantly aid your healing process. You deserve to be happy and to feel like yourself again.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect a judgment-free environment where you will feel the ease of talking with an old friend once we get to know one another. Unlike a conversation with a beloved family member or friend, our sessions will be conversations that are completely centered around your wellbeing and healing. I will help you move in the direction of healing with techniques individually designed for you based on your personality type and strengths. After we have worked together for a while, you will gain more clarity into what works for you and the resources you can pull from on your own.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
