I also like to use art as a means of report building for clients that are otherwise apprehensive about sharing with a new counselor.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I want each client I work with to know that I am here to support them. That within my office hour period I am more than willing to be the shoulder to cry on when they need it or the person to hold them accountable when they repeat patterns of behavior. I want each client that I work with to understand that I am here to go at their pace and will be here to listen, support and guide as necessary.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My ideal client will be someone that is on the cusp of trying to understand themselves. Someone that has the understanding of what they need in this life, but are in need of support and assistance with "putting things together" for themselves. My ideal client would want to see themselves thrive for the sake of not only those who surround them but mainly for themselves. A person that has the tenacity and wherewithal to say that they prioritize themselves, but they just don't know how to organize themselves and are seeking support to help them figure out who they are as a person and their drive.
