Getting to know Morgan Zwirn
Hello, I'm Morgan. My approach to therapy is client-centered, meaning I utilize a variety of techniques and approaches tailored to each individual. Your goals and what works best for you guide our sessions. I frequently assess progress with you and adjust my approach as needed. As a systems-trained, trauma-informed therapist, including EMDR-trained, I see us all as influenced and changed by the many systems we are a part of, such as community, family, and social media. These systems impact our mental health and our path to healing. I respect your desire to talk about, or not talk about, your spiritual beliefs; however, I believe in the powerful connection between mind, body, and spirit, which can be integral to explore for healing. If desired, prayers and goals related to faith can be included in your treatment plan.
I graduated in 2018 from Colorado State University with a Master's degree in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and have had a small private practice since 2019. Additionally, I have worked as a school-based therapist and school counselor at a small, rural school.
I have experience working with teenagers and young adults, as well as navigating early adulthood challenges such as transitions into college, marriage, career, and parenthood, including difficult pregnancy journeys. I specialize in addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, relational and transitional issues, but I am open to working with any issue you bring to therapy. Therapy is about you. I often say that you are the expert on your life, and what you want to get out of therapy is largely dependent on your goals and needs. If you're feeling stuck or like something just isn't right and needs to change, we can work together to figure that out.
