Hi! My name is Moriah E. McCarthy. I am a licensed mental health counselor with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I believe in a holistic and blended approach that respects the mind-body-spirit connection. Mental health is a pivotal component of overall wellness. Treatment with me blends exploration of the past and deepening of insight with concrete interventions and forward-focused momentum. I use psycho-education and skills-building to empower clients to support themselves after counseling. Strengths and weaknesses are brought forward to integrate thoughts, feelings, and actions into the whole self. I believe in collaborating with clients throughout the process. Clients feel supported and also challenged to take responsibility for their own success. When you work with me, I hope we partner in your treatment. I value your feedback, appreciate your openness to possibilities, and encourage taking action for greater stability. My approach is best described as client-centered and creative.

Sessions with me vary depending on the style of work, goals, and themes. My approach to client relationships is warm. Client-centered therapy means that I practice unconditional positive regard, even at times of confrontation and challenge. We all make choices for our wellness.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
