Getting to know Nancy E Arnovits
I have been a practicing social worker for more than 30 years. Much of this experience has been in a large public teaching hospital in Miami, Florida. The scope of services the hospital provides is quite comprehensive, which afforded me opportunities to work with a very diverse population. I have counseled patients and their families dealing with a variety of illnesses, both physical and mental health, survivors of sexual assault, and also provided counseling to patients in a correctional setting. I like challenging situations. My style of counseling is very eclectic and depends on the client and their unique set of problems. This can range from client-centered, solution-oriented, or cognitive behavioral, as many people come to therapy to learn new ways of thinking and alternative coping strategies.
I hold a Master's in Social Work from Marywood University. For the past two years, I have been involved in teletherapy, providing psychotherapy to clients experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, employment, relationship, and interpersonal difficulties. I have also been providing counseling to teenagers dealing with these issues and involving their parents when indicated.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Our first session is usually a kind of getting to know one another and I might want to learn more about your history/background in order to understand why you are seeking therapy at this time. I believe that creating a trusting and supportive environment is vital to the success of the therapeutic experience.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
