What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that finding the right therapist to assist you in your journey is often like finding a pair of shoes that has the right fit. This process can be arduous and can deter people from pursuing counseling. A key part of my clinical practice is to build rapport with my clients to assist them with feeling comfortable sharing what can be painful topics and issues. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most influential factors in assisting individuals to be successful in therapy and reach their goals. I especially enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ community as I identify as an LGBTQIA+ individual myself.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I use a holistic & warm person centered approach. I use evidence based practices tailored to what works for each individual and what they are going through. I'm goal oriented when providing talk therapy.
