Nancy Powell is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 32 years of experience specializing in depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, panic disorders, alcohol and substance abuse, grief and loss, and spiritual counseling. Nancy treats patients between the ages of 5 and 90, utilizing Reality Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Grief and Loss counseling, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her approach with clients. Nancy currently only sees minors in the office. She has extensive experience counseling children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and providing family education in both clinical and outpatient settings. In her clinical work, Nancy is well versed in both traditional therapeutic techniques as well as creative modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, mindfulness activities, and trauma-based therapy. In her free time, Nancy enjoys going to the gym, walks at the park, and watching various sporting events. Nancy holds a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern California, a Master's in Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University, a Master's in Criminal Justice Law from the University of South Alabama, and a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Immaculata University. She also earned a Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Development from Penn State University.
