Hi there, I'm Nancy! Hello, I am Nancy Josey. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (Supervisor) in Mississippi, a Certified Clinical Tele-Mental Health Provider, and a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). I earned my MEd in School Counseling and Guidance Services from the University of Mississippi. I have 43 years of experience working with young children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with those experiencing anxiety, divorce, depression, grief, school-related problems, parenting concerns, and trauma. My approach I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Through caring compassion, encouragement, and honest, non-judgmental feedback, you will gain strength to overcome life’s challenges and move toward living a peaceful, meaningful, and purpose-filled life. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a truth-filled Christian perspective in sessions. My focus I help clients with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, motivation, divorce, grief, school problems, parenting concerns, self-esteem, and confidence. My communication style I treat everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion with a non-judgmental approach. My goal is to help clients succeed and work through difficult situations. It is my ministry and life’s calling. My journey to mental healthcare I began as a public school educator and realized I could not help students grow academically without addressing their emotional needs. I committed to equipping myself with tools to support students’ emotional and academic goals. This led to earning a master’s and Educational Specialist degree in Counseling, along with many certifications. I have worked with children, teens, and adults, using my education and experience. Additional areas of focus: caregiver issues and stress, communication problems, control issues, divorce and separation, forgiveness, life purpose, panic disorder.
