Psychotherapist
CA
I help adults, couples, adolescents, and families heal from trauma, improve relationships, regulate overwhelming emotions, and move through difficult life transitions. I am an Integrative Trauma Psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience working with trauma, childhood trauma, PTSD, anxiety and stress, emotional regulation, dissociation, relationship issues, parenting concerns, family dynamics, attachment wounds, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and highly individualized. I integrate trauma-focused therapy, somatic practices, attachment-based therapy, parts work, mindfulness, depth-oriented psychotherapy, and cognitive behavioral approaches based on each client’s needs. Together, we work to understand patterns, build emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. In couples therapy, I help partners navigate communication difficulties, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, trust concerns, attachment patterns, intimacy challenges, and major relationship transitions. I also work with parents, adolescents, and families around parenting challenges, family conflict, adolescent development, and the impact of technology and social media on identity, relationships, and emotional wellbeing. My clinical training includes TF-CBT, Janina Fisher’s TIST model, RITTM, somatic and trauma-focused approaches, and STEP parenting training. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II and hold an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and a Ph.D. in Depth Psychology, Integrative Therapy, and Healing Practices from Pacifica Graduate Institute. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, supported, and gently challenged as they move toward greater healing, connection, purpose, and possibility.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is warm, collaborative, and highly individualized. I believe meaningful therapy begins with a strong, trusting relationship where you feel seen, understood, and safe enough to explore what may be difficult. I integrate trauma-focused, somatic, attachment-based, parts work, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral approaches depending on your needs. Our work may include understanding patterns, building emotional regulation, strengthening relationships, and developing practical tools you can use outside of session. I will meet you where you are while also gently challenging you when it supports your growth. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. We will work together to create an approach that feels both supportive and purposeful, with the goal of helping you move toward greater connection, resilience, and meaningful change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first sessions focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and identifying what you hope will feel different in your life or relationships. I take time to understand your history, current concerns, strengths, and patterns without rushing the process. Typical sessions are conversational, relational, and focused on what is most present for you. Depending on your needs, we may explore emotions and relationship patterns, notice what is happening in the body, work with different parts of yourself, practice regulation skills, or develop practical strategies to use between sessions. I do not follow a rigid formula. Therapy is collaborative and evolves over time. We regularly check in on what is helping, what needs more attention, and how the work can continue to support meaningful and lasting change.
