I am a New York State licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of direct client experience. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. My strongest areas of experience are addictions, anxiety, OCD, couples counseling, and mood disorders. I am a gender-affirming therapist.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Many of us have thoughts and feelings that yank us away from peace, joy and fulfillment. Past experiences and current life situations can seem so overwhelming and unmanageable that we abandon hope for a better life. If this sounds familiar, I can help. As a therapist with over 25 years of experience, I work collaboratively with clients to help them identify and achieve their goals, learn ways to manage difficult thoughts, feelings and memories, and help build habits that will enable them to effectively get through challenging and difficult situations. I use evidence-based interventions that facilitate meaningful change. I am a member of the Association for Contextual Behavior Science (ACBS). I am trained in the following treatment approaches: CBT, DBT, ACT, MBCT as well as Family Systems Therapy. I am a gender affirming therapist with many years of experience helping transgender and gender non-conforming adults and adolescents.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work interactively with warmth, openness, curiosity and at times, humor. I work to collaborate with clients to help them facilitate self-understanding, self-compassion and actions that lead to a full and meaningful life.
