Hi there, I'm Naneth! My name is Naneth Ruiz, and I specialize in working with adults, youth, and families. I have been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina for ten years and am also licensed in Arizona [LPC-#23081]. I earned my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. My areas of competence include mental and emotional disorders, diagnosis and treatment using the DSM-5 TR, interpersonal complex trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, relational and communication issues, self-esteem, coping skills, domestic violence, and anger management. My approach I draw from various theoretical orientations, including Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, as well as Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behavior Therapy techniques. My focus I have experience supporting clients who have faced complex interpersonal traumas, anxiety, and depression. Creating a safe environment for clients is my utmost priority. I believe in being congruent with clients and use evidence-based tools like modeling, role-playing, and activities to help clients connect with their emotions and meet them where they are. Listening to the client’s story is crucial to facilitating healing through therapy. My communication style I am open-minded, empowering, and solution-oriented. My journey to mental healthcare I am passionate about helping people. I worked for 11 years as a therapeutic foster parent. My last placement was a 7-year-old child who entered my home and returned to their family at age 10. This child inspired me to become a mental health counselor. Shortly after, I began working as a community support team leader, providing mental health services to families, individuals, and adolescents in their homes.
