Psychotherapist
IL
Hi there, I'm Nashat! I am a trained and licensed therapist working remotely for various organizations based in the USA. I am also an adjunct instructor at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, USA. I have vast experience counseling individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and different age groups. I don?t treat diagnoses but clients?with compassion and empathy. My interventional approach includes CBT, Mindfulness, and TEAM-CBT. Due to my family background, I?m highly sensitive and respectful of various cultures and social backgrounds. My training as a doctor furthered my clinical abilities as a psychologist, allowing me to enlighten my patients on the psychosocial and medical aspects of their psychological and physical illnesses, as well as the connection between mind and body. Additionally, I hold a PhD in Health Psychology from Walden University, which deepens my understanding of health-related psychological issues. My approach As a TEAM-CBT practitioner, my goal is to bring about substantial and dramatic changes, hopefully during the course of ongoing therapy sessions. I don?t believe personal change and recovery have to be slow processes taking months, years, or even decades of treatment. I start by assisting my clients in quickly gaining intimacy, consciousness, and self-esteem, as well as a clear understanding of why they struggle with these issues in the first place. That?s what it means to feel better. Moving forward, I work with my clients to teach effective relapse-prevention skills so they won?t have to suffer months or years of hopelessness, loneliness, and self-doubt. Obviously, no one has the privilege of experiencing happiness perpetually, and we all occasionally sink into pits of despair. However, with the right resources, you can easily emerge from that pit and feel joy once more. And that?s what it means to get better. My focus I believe clients should be given an opportunity to provide feedback about their therapist?s warmth and empathy.
