Getting to know Natalee Tennyson

Accepting appointments in TX, FL, and CO! Natalee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with her clients to identify and progress towards their goals during times of distress. She believes that clients are the experts on themselves and is passionate about helping them develop and utilize their strengths when facing stressors. Natalee works with people struggling with depression, anxiety, poor emotion regulation, poor impulse control, intrusive thoughts, difficulties with school, executive functioning challenges, poor boundaries, interpersonal conflict, life transitions into adulthood, and the struggles that come with the different seasons of trying to conceive, pregnancy, and postpartum. She is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C) and uses Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while incorporating strategies from Motivational Interviewing and Trust-Based Relational Interventions (TBRI) depending on the client and their needs. Natalee earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas, Arlington, and holds a Master’s in Criminology from the University of Texas, Dallas. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of North Texas. She is licensed to see residents of TX, CO, and FL.

Our sessions will feel like collaborative conversations, designed to be open and supportive. My focus is on teaching practical skills to help you work toward meaningful change, with clear goals we’ll set together. Expect an active, engaging process where we partner to address your needs and build strategies for growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My typical process for working with clients begins with an initial appointment where I gather information and assess whether my approach aligns with your needs to ensure a good fit. From there, we build a collaborative therapeutic relationship focused on exploring your current goals and developing strategies to achieve them. Throughout our sessions, clients process feelings and life experiences that may impact their ability to reach their therapeutic goals.

i made an appointment and i never was able to attend. i wasn’t sent any information on how to access the appointment with a zoom link and when i called the office i was told to wait and right before my appointment i will receive instructions on how to join the visit. i never received any instructions or any help.
