What should a new client know about working with you?

Natalia believes there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to treatment and honors the unique needs of her clients. In her therapeutic work, she is semi-structured, holistic, person-centered and strength-based. She trusts in the natural unfolding of the therapeutic process, believing that what is meaningful to you will arise session by session while she tracks contents, themes, and patterns, delicately holding past sessions. Natalia's priority is fostering a safe and collaborative environment that will promote awareness, courage, self-assurance, growth, change, healing, resiliency and the ultimate conditions for thriving.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session with Natalia begins with a brief check-in before engaging in an orienting or grounding activity to bring awareness, attention and intention to the therapeutic process. After that, Natalia seeks to foster a safe, open, curious, and autonomous space where the client can share and direct the session's flow according to what is most relevant to them that day. When appropriate and consented, Natalia offers psychoeducation specific to the client's needs to promote self-efficacy and empowerment. Natalia concludes sessions with a check-out, which may include a closing self-regulatory practice, a brief session recap, and potential assignment of at-home activities.
