Getting to know Natalie Campbell

Do you feel overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, to the point where it’s affecting your work, relationships, or daily life? Do you find yourself people-pleasing, seeking validation in ways that leave you feeling unfulfilled, or struggling to advocate for your own needs? You may feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, engaging in maladaptive coping strategies or soft or hard addictions and unsure how to move forward. In our work together, we’ll identify the underlying patterns keeping you stuck and build practical tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control. My approach is compassionate and collaborative to help you grow and get the insight you need to make positive impactful changes to your life. I use an integrative, evidence-based approach, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and trauma-informed Brain Spotting. Therapy is tailored to your unique experiences and goals, helping you create real shifts in how you think, feel, and relate to others. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in physical therapy and rehabilitation. After experiencing the loss of someone to suicide, I felt called to focus on mental health—because nothing is more important than your emotional well-being. If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out for a free phone consultation.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have a previous history of working with clients and families in rehabilitation, physical therapy, and chronic illness. I try to make the client as comfortable as much as possible as therapy can cover really difficult topics. I try to engage with a kind but firm approach and have a relatively direct style.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start by wanting to learn about what your priorities and goals are. I try to get a sense of your background to help me understand why you are the way you are and then go from there. I also want to know about your past therapy experiences in terms of what has helped and what has not worked for you.

I was privileged to be able to meet with Natalie weekly for therapy for a year at a non-profit agency before she opened Perspectives for Thought. I loved meeting with her as she made me laugh and helped me greatly with my anxiety and insomnia. I have had other therapists before, and she made me feel extremely comfortable right away. I cannot thank her enough for her invaluable support and helping me gain insight and knowledge about myself. I highly respect and recommend her to anyone seeking therapy.
