As a therapist, I aim to join others in finding the potential within impasse; how we approach transition, conflict, or questions of purpose may broaden an awareness of ourselves and what drives us. I seek to understand and develop shared language with individuals based on their unique experiences, particularly related to socially-determined positions such as class, gender, or race.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I use a psychodynamic approach to explore and develop insight into relational patterns. I am also currently in intermediate-level training to be a Somatic Experiencing practitioner, and will often employ somatic techniques to gently, and purposefully, process trauma or stress responses. My practice is influenced by my background in the arts as well as by my experience working with individuals experiencing severe mental health crises and housing insecurity in New York City. Above all else, I aim to practice with humor, reverence for humanity, creativity, and non-judgement.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will offer a chance for us to discuss what your therapeutic needs might be and how sessions will proceed. Therapy takes trust-building and collaboration, so an easeful introduction is important!
