Getting to know Natalie Corapi
I bring a unique perspective to psychotherapy shaped by over 30 years of experience as a first responder and paramedic. That career taught me firsthand what it means to work under pressure, witness trauma, and carry the emotional weight of serving others- insights I now draw on to help clients navigate stress, trauma, burnout, and the mental health challenges that often go unspoken in high-demand professions.
My background also includes training in physical fitness and nutrition, which shapes how I approach therapy: I believe mental and physical well-being are deeply connected, and I often bring that whole-person perspective into treatment. My involvement in peer support work has also given me a deep appreciation for the power of shared experience, community, and connection in the healing process.
I strive to create space that feels safe, direct, and judgment-free- especially for those, like first responders, veterans, healthcare workers, and teachers, who are used to putting everyone else's needs before their own. Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, compassion fatigue, or simply need a space to be heard, I am here to help you find your footing again.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My work draws on CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, along with self-guided approaches tailored to each client's pace and goals. I specialize in trauma and emotional healing, helping clients build a healthier version of themselves- for their own sake, and for the families and friends who share their lives with them. Together, we work toward being present for the moments that too often get missed, and reconnecting with the enjoyment, presence, and grace that life has to offer.
My background in physical health and nutrition, along with my involvement in peer support work, shapes a whole-person approach rooted in connection and shared experience.
My office is a place of safety, sanctuary, and solitude- a bridge between the outside world and yourself. Here, you are welcome to be yourself, without judgment, as we work through therapy together toward the life you want to live.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My process is shaped by more than today's presenting concern- it is shaped by the whole person in front of me. Thirty years as a paramedic in the fire service, my work in peer support, and my background in physical and nutritional health have taught me to look beyond the moment and see the lived experience that brought someone to seek treatment in the first place.
I take a whole-person approach to care, integrating mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health, while recognizing the role that family systems and community play in healing. Through this guided, inclusive care, my clients find a genuine sense of support and belonging as we work together toward lasting change.
