“I really struggled with my mom. I have so much love for her, and it was so confusing to love my mom and be so hurt by her, but no one understood that or would give me the time to express myself. I have such a different perspective thanks to Natalie. I'm so grateful I was able to still talk to my mom but learn to deal with this pain; it's been so hard, but worth it.”

Getting to know Natalie Cruz

Did you grow up in a different culture or upbringing than others? Do you constantly feel misunderstood or unsure of yourself? Does your family have high expectations of you that feel suffocating? If you struggle with navigating your upbringing, relationships, feeling confident, or expressing yourself. You came to the right person. I will help you manage emotions, understand why you struggle, and accomplish your goals. Looking forward to meeting you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

It’s nice to not feel crazy for once and have someone helping me break down what’s going on and how to be better.
I loved how she is always on point with understanding what I'm trynna say, it's like a breath of fresh air.
I wasn't sure how therapy would be, but she explained everything and just made it so easy to be there.
She's been a pillar in my struggle. I honeslty dont know where I would be without her.
She is very kind and understanding. I felt like I could just let out all my worries.
It's only our first session, but she was so nice and understanding.

I struggle with communicating and understanding my emotions at times. I’m always talking about emotions, but they always feel stuck to me. Natalie was able to guide me through them, even though I didn't like it. lol she’s great.
Growing up in my family was filled with guilt and a lot of shame. I never felt like I could be myself about my family and they picked at everything I did. Natalie really supported me through that. I’m thankful I had her.
It was hard to choose better for myself. I've been so used to others just using my things, or always needing me and not being able to say anything about it. It's hard to see how much this hurt me over the years. With Natalie's help, it has made things manageable even though it's hard.
I was raised with mean parents, I mean, they ridiculed me, and nothing I did was right. It took me a lot of time to come to terms with how toxic it was, but Natalie was right there with me while I was crying and grieving my relationship with them. I honestly am thankful I was able to have her.
I've felt so alone with my family sometimes. I wished I could be different, and maybe they would accept me. I know better now, and that I am perfect in this way, no matter how many imperfections I carry. My self-esteem had a much-needed boost with my work with Natalie.
Natalie helped me see who values me in life and who’s really there for me. I’ve had bad luck with friends and relationships, and it’s hard to see how much people have hurt you and how to make amends at times, but she was so kind about it and helped me understand my needs in relationships.
I’ve been to therapy a few times, and it was nice to have a therapist from a similar background who understands you. I never felt like I had to explain my culture, she just gets it.
    She was nice.
Therapy scared me, honestly, but I was able to learn a lot in the past few months and accept some hard truths. It really helped.
    I felt supported and understood
I started therapy hoping to make life a bit easier, honeslty its been hard, but with the support and tools she gave, it makes things so much more manageable.
