ABOUT MY CLIENTS: When my clients experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. I help clients who include children, adults, couples and families, to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe.
MY BACKGROUND and APPROACH: I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, so I use a wide range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral, Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Psychodrama, Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Biofeedback, Mindfulness, Coaching and Reality Therapy. These modalities assist my clients in acquiring the critical skills necessary for healthy functioning in all domains of their lives.
MY PERSONAL BELIEF and INTERESTS: Every one of us has a belief system ingrained in our minds. Our beliefs are the fundamentals of our experiences, decisions and patterns in our lives. I believe that by changing our beliefs, we can change our experiences, and create our own realities. As far as my interests are concern, I believe a person’s health is influenced by behaviors that are part of their individual lifestyle. I strive to maintain a sense of balance by exercising on a consistent basis and preparing healthy meals. I also like to spend quality time in my flower gardens and actively participate in interior decorating. My interests have proven to be therapeutic and have enriched my life immensely.

- Set clear goals: It's important to have clear goals for therapy so that you and I are on the same page. In our first session, we will discuss your goals and work together to create a treatment plan that outlines the steps you will take to achieve those goals.
- Try to be open and honest with me about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I am here to help you, and I can only do so if I have a clear understanding of what's going on.
- Trust the process: Therapy can be a long process, and it's important to trust that the work you're doing with me will pay off in the end. It's also important to be patient and not expect instant results.
- Practice self-care: In addition to attending therapy sessions, it's important to practice self-care on a regular basis. This may include activities such as exercise, meditation, or spending time with loved ones.
