Psychotherapist

Sometimes it is difficult to adjust to or make sense of what is happening in your life and how you feel. It is often moments or seasons of change that make us feel alone, overwhelmed, or numb to trauma and chronic stress, but these can be transformed into positive change. My goal is to help you gain a better understanding of yourself in a nonjudgmental and trauma informed space. Together we will explore thought patterns, beliefs, and habits that influence how you feel, and social and cultural dynamics that shape your experience. Throughout this process I aim to empower you and help you build coping skills to better manage the external and internal stress you experience on a daily basis. As a Columbia graduate I have worked with adults and children in schools, non-profits, courts and shelters, in North America and abroad. I take an integrative, relational, and holistic approach to therapy, utilizing tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, and Internal Family Systems, and drawing from mindfulness and attachment theory. It can be scary to start, but I am eager to meet you. I truly believe that therapy can provide the support you need to bring inner peace and to revitalize areas you feel stuck or empty in.
