I will be the first to say: therapy can be an anxiety provoking experience. I’m here to help you navigate the challenges of your therapy journey. I provide therapy to those who are hesitant in asking for help because of pressures to “figure it out on your own”, cultural stigmas, and/or simply, because of bad therapeutic experiences. My approach As a multi-faceted individual, I find ways to connect with others that are authentic and personal. With me, you will find a multi-relational approach that offers opportunities to uplift and empower you on your therapy journey. My focus Struggling with current life stressors or unhealed trauma? Feeling overwhelmed with worry or self-doubt? I support teens and adults navigating their therapy journey by addressing anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and self-esteem challenges. My communication style Communication and understanding are key to any successful relationship or dynamic. I prioritize relational communication - often leaning into humanity. I believe in active listening and open communication in hopes of creating a supportive, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment - allowing you the opportunity to reflect on your experiences. My journey to mental healthcare As someone who has navigated complex trauma with the support of therapy throughout my life, it has always been important for me to support those navigating life challenges in a similar manner that promotes hope and safety. As a provider with lived experience, I’m driven by the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth, healing, and change. My goals for you Goal setting is a collaborative effort during your therapy journey. We will come together and identify treatment modalities to be useful (e.g., Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT, and ACT) in hopes of supporting in better understanding of your unique experiences and build practical day-to-day coping strategies.
