My approach I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Together, we will tailor a treatment plan that suits your needs the best and utilizes the treatment styles that will be most effective for the things you would like addressed. My focus I work primarily with ages 18+ who feel ready to make changes. My focus in therapy is helping each client feel more confident in themselves and their ability to conquer their life challenges. Each person is the expert on their own mind. My job is to simply provide tools and support to work through the things that feel overwhelming and confusing. My communication style I prioritize open, clear, and direct communication in sessions. I strive to create a comfortable environment where each client feels heard, understood, and valued. My journey to mental healthcare I was initially drawn to working in therapy because I grew up surrounded by mental health concerns. I was curious from a young age how anyone could learn to work through the tragedies and experiences life can throw at you. I've had the opportunity to work with a range of difficulties throughout my career and am always inspired by human resilience. My goals for you I believe the first step to setting goals is to ensure we are on the same page about what you would like to achieve and see change for yourself. Goal setting is collaborative. Together, we will develop a plan to help you reach the version of yourself you are striving for. We will adjust goals along the way as needed to continue to grow.
