Psychotherapist
OR
Hi there, I'm Natalye! I hold a strong belief in the innate goodness, power, and agency each person has to enable them to reach their goals. Oftentimes, life experiences can make it feel impossible to find these inner strengths. My goal is to help empower clients to feel confident and worthy enough to make real change in their lives. My focus I love working with adults of all ages who have a history of trauma, anxiety, depression, and/or OCD. I also have a heart for the LGBTQIA+ community and am experienced in providing gender affirming care. My goal is for us to build a healthy therapeutic relationship and learn skills that can embolden you to be your best self. My approach I use a psychodynamic approach to therapy, often looking at how early experiences have shaped patterns in our current lives and how we can change those patterns. I use a combination of person-centered therapy, EMDR, and CBT/DBT skills, with a strong emphasis on creating healthier relationships. My communication style I want you to always feel safe to be honest self in therapy. I prioritize open and clear communication, often balancing directness, humor, and irreverence with warmth, support, and nonjudgmentalness. I believe in clients setting the pace for therapy and value honest feedback that can improve the experience overall. My journey to mental healthcare I knew as a teenager that I wanted to become a therapist after having a positive experience of my own. My own personal experiences have given me a passion for those that are hurting. Being trained in community mental health, I learned the value of resources and community in building a sustainable future for clients. My goals for you I set initial goals with clients early on, making sure we are always using them as a guide to get the most benefit out of therapy. However, it is common for these goals to evolve or to develop new ones entirely. This becomes a frequent conversation to make sure your therapy is working for you.
