Life can feel overwhelming when past experiences, relationships, or life transitions begin affecting how you see yourself and move through the world. Therapy can provide a space to slow down, gain clarity, understand patterns, and move forward with greater intention. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who works with adults and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, communication difficulties, identity, self-esteem, and life transitions. With couples, I help partners understand recurring patterns, communicate more effectively, navigate conflict, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection. My approach is warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed. I draw from attachment-based, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior, narrative, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and solution-focused approaches, tailoring therapy to each client's goals, culture, relationships, and lived experience. I especially value working with BIPOC clients and LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where clients can explore identity, relationships, and difficult experiences without having to minimize or compartmentalize important parts of who they are. Therapy is not about having all the answers. It is an opportunity to better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and create meaningful change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and respected. I take a warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive approach to therapy, working with you to understand what is bringing you to therapy, identify your goals, and develop strategies that fit your life and values. I work with adults and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity, emotional overwhelm, communication difficulties, and life transitions. I believe therapy should be tailored to the person, and I will meet you where you are while helping you build insight, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change. Once you book an appointment, I will reach out by email, phone, and/or text to help us connect before your first session and provide the link for your secure video visit.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first sessions focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and identifying the patterns, concerns, and goals you would like to work on. We will collaborate on a treatment plan that reflects your needs, values, relationships, culture, and lived experience. As we continue, sessions may include exploring thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationship patterns, and past experiences while developing practical tools for coping, communication, emotional regulation, and personal growth. I draw from trauma-informed, attachment-based, cognitive-behavioral, narrative, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and solution-focused approaches, adapting the work to what is most helpful for you. Throughout therapy, we will regularly reflect on your progress and adjust our work as your needs and goals evolve. My aim is for therapy to be a place where you feel supported while also gaining greater understanding, agency, and connection.
