Getting to know Natasha Barbari
Hi there! I’m Natasha Barbari, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Orange County, California, offering therapy statewide. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I work with individuals at every stage of life—from young adults exploring their identity and purpose to older adults navigating transitions and new chapters. My specialization lies in helping people manage depression, anxiety, and trauma-related challenges, with a therapeutic approach tailored to meet each person where they are. I strive to create a supportive and collaborative space where you can explore your experiences, tap into your strengths, and work toward meaningful change. Whether you’re addressing a specific challenge or seeking greater self-understanding and growth, I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.
My approach
My therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Humanistic principles to provide personalized, compassionate care. I work with clients to reframe unhelpful thought patterns, develop emotional regulation skills, and explore pathways for growth. Together, we examine how trauma, including intergenerational trauma, influences attachment, self-concept, and feelings of safety. I also explore how inequities and systemic pressures impact clients’ overall well-being, recognizing the role of broader social factors in mental health.
My focus
My approach and style are best suited for people across the lifespan who are navigating complex mental health challenges, particularly those impacted by persistent conditions such as depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. I have extensive experience supporting individuals who have experienced attachment-related trauma or grown up in invalidating childhood environments, helping them rebuild their self-concept and develop a sense of safety and connection.
