Natasha Jackson, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University and have been in the field for 12 years. I have experience in both residential and outpatient settings, working with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I am confident in treating a wide array of diagnoses and needs, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, perinatal and postpartum difficulties, behavioral issues, academic and employment challenges, grief, and trauma. My approach Some of my strengths as a therapist lie in my ability to meet clients where they are, fostering a safe and non-judgmental environment. I am committed to understanding each client’s unique experiences and perspectives, which allows me to build trust and rapport effectively. By creating this supportive space, I empower clients to explore their thoughts and feelings openly, facilitating their journey toward personal growth and positive change. My focus I love working with individuals ready to get back into the driver’s seat of their life. My clients are eager to improve but don’t yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious about what is next. My communication style Centered around empathy and active listening, my goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space. I focus on meeting clients where they are, using a collaborative and supportive approach. My journey to mental healthcare I always knew I wanted to be in the helping profession, and I am lucky and honored to do this work. As a Black therapist, I see the value of representation in the mental health field and find unique opportunities to support clients who can often feel misunderstood by therapists who may not share this aspect of their identity. Furthermore, I am passionate about working with members of the body positivity, racial justice, military spouse, and single mother communities.
