Getting to know Natasha Mahesh

Are you grappling with anxiety, depression, strained relationships, or an overwhelming sense of isolation? If so, you've arrived at the right place. I specialize in guiding adult children from dysfunctional families on a transformative journey. Clients often come into therapy carrying the weight of years of self-doubt, depression, and an overwhelming sense of being trapped. Together, we'll embark on a dedicated path to dismantle those negative self-images, piece by piece. Through our work, you'll unearth the intrinsic worth that has always resided within you, buried beneath layers of self-criticism. Many of my clients come from backgrounds of neglect or abuse, where love felt conditional, leading to a belief that they must constantly prove their worth. What sets my therapy practice apart is my genuine empathy and curiosity about my clients' experiences. They often describe feeling truly heard, understood, and validated during our sessions. Their journey in overcoming depression has been inspiring to witness. We work diligently, using a combination of therapeutic techniques as needed, to help manage those recurrent depressive episodes. In our time together, you can learn incredible tools to handle those moments when the shadows of sadness creep in. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University and completed my internship at Capital Area Counseling. My work is supervised by Reem Qashu Glasco.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In as little as two months of our collaboration, I've witnessed clients undergo remarkable transformations from feelings of despair and confusion to newfound clarity and hope. My clients encompass both men and women, and I'm dedicated to offering a professional, and empathetic space for your healing journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

One of the most valuable shifts I've witnessed in my clients is the realisation of their own inherent worth, not tied to external achievements. Through inner child healing, we validate their past experiences and cultivate a deeper understanding of the "why" behind their behaviours. From this place of self-awareness and self-compassion, we harness their existing strengths and resources to collaboratively identify solutions and set meaningful goals. Let's embark on this journey of self-discovery and healing together.
