Psychotherapist
999 Ponce de Leon, Ste 1120, Coral Gables, FL
The provider is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. They hold a Master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University and studied Psychology at Florida International University. I believe that our identities and realities are shaped by the narratives we construct about our experiences, relationships, and the world around us. Individuals are deeply interconnected, and oftentimes challenges arise within the context of relationships and family systems. Individuals have an innate ability to heal and transform into their optimal selves, and while it may be difficult and challenging, it can be one of life’s greatest adventures. In my view, my role consists of assisting clients in gaining insight into their behaviors, emotions, and thoughts, thus enabling them to make meaningful changes and foster healthier relationships. I am committed to creating a supportive, non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients can feel heard and understood.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The therapeutic journey will be a process in which you feel profoundly understood and connected while simultaneously being challenged and supported. We will build a safe space where you can process your pain and uncertainties and gain fresh insights into your authentic self. As your therapist, my role is to join you in this journey of deconstructing and understanding your life narratives, which may be limiting or causing distress. Through this process, we will also uncover any hidden yearnings and aspirations. We'll then collaboratively weave a new narrative—one that aligns with these aspirations and promotes healthier, more constructive ways of being in the world. This process is not about changing who you are, but rather empowering you to become the author of your own story, creating a narrative that reflects your values, hopes, and dreams, and supports you in your journey toward well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I focus on supporting individuals during significant life changes and transitions. I design to help individuals navigate the challenges, emotions, and adjustments that arise when facing major shifts in various aspects of life, such as career changes, marriage or divorce, becoming a parent, retirement, loss or bereavement, relocation, or any other significant life event. The goal of life transition therapy is to provide individuals with the tools, coping strategies, and emotional support needed to successfully navigate these transitions and emerge with a sense of clarity, resilience, and personal growth. I work collaboratively with you to explore your feelings, concerns, and goals related to the transition can often connect to an individual dealing with symptoms such as anxiety or depression.
