Hi there, I'm Nathan! My name is Nate Lingo, and I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for the past 10 years. I earned my Master's in Social Work from IU Indianapolis and currently work with clients throughout the State of Indiana. I am also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV), having lived in Mongolia for 2 years. I work with young to middle-aged adults and specialize in stress, anxiety, depression, as well as BPD, eating disorders, and relationship distress. I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Adventure Therapy (AT), and The Gottman Method. My approach When working with someone new, I focus on getting to know them, identifying their strengths and areas for growth, and planning helpful supports moving forward. While I most frequently use DBT, I have experience with a variety of treatment modalities to best support the people I work with. I take time to understand your goals and identify the most helpful supports tailored to you. My focus I have worked with a diverse range of people on many goals. I am open and comfortable discussing almost anything, exploring next steps, and focusing on specific objectives. My communication style I listen carefully to your experiences, thoughts, and feelings about therapy, life, and personal challenges. I offer encouragement, support, and time to safely review your life and plan appropriate next steps. Together, we will explore what matters most to you and work toward what makes the most sense. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been interested in bettering my life and have sought out thoughts that resonate with me. I love positive psychology, quotes, and learning new ways to improve personal skills. I believe there are many great ways to live and see the world. I enjoy getting to know people and overcoming challenges alongside them. My goals for you When setting goals, we will explore many options and identify the best next steps to help you reach your goals.
