*Note that prior to the first session with the provider, LifeStance will require a credit card on file. Nathaniel treats patients aged 4 through 70 years old. I began my clinical counseling practice in 2016 after earning my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University. Initially, I provided trauma-based treatments for children and adolescent clients before working as a school-based therapist, offering counseling services to middle school students with learning or behavioral difficulties. In this role, I supported clients dealing with general anxiety, depression, anger management issues, and trauma. I also have experience in a Day Treatment school, providing counseling services for clients aged 6 to 12. Additionally, I worked in community outpatient services, offering individual counseling to a general population ranging from 4 to 70 years old. My treatment focus included Behavioral Management, Post-Traumatic Stress, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Depression, Reunification Counseling, and Grief Counseling over several years. I initially became involved in clinical work to support clients with learning and behavioral disabilities such as oppositional behaviors, Asperger's, and ADHD. I provided Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and coping skills to help clients gain more control over their behavioral responses and feelings of distress. I also conducted family therapy to assist families in developing strategies to support their loved ones' progress. Over time, I began working more frequently with clients seeking trauma-informed services. I found that many clients struggling with mental health concerns related to behavioral disabilities like Attention Deficit Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder were also coping with trauma-related triggers from sustained trauma.
