What should a new client know about working with you?

I embrace an eclectic therapeutic approach, tailoring it to meet your needs and circumstances. I work collaboratively with you and help you explore your past, understand your present symptoms, and work with you toward a journey into a better future. By drawing upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, I provide you with tools that empower positive transformation in your quality of life. I believe in the power of mindfulness and meditation and through their integration, you will learn to cultivate a state of balance. I take great pride in offering an affirming environment where you can freely explore your sexual and gender identity.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we will conduct a thorough intake assessment, a critical step in understanding your unique situation comprehensively. This assessment will delve into your motivations for seeking therapy, your past experiences with mental health care, your therapeutic goals, and an exploration of what has and hasn't proven effective in your mental health journey. The following sessions will primarily involve process-oriented work, providing a safe and open space to express your inner thoughts and emotions. It's important to recognize and celebrate your achievements, regardless of their scale, be they major breakthroughs or smaller victories. Together, we will address conflicts and challenges while exploring various coping strategies. My approach draws upon various techniques, which may include worksheets, journaling, psychoeducation, meditation, and the development of coping skills. The structure of these sessions will be adjusted to best address your specific concerns. Throughout our time working together, we will consistently evaluate your progress. When you feel that you've met your therapy goals, we can discuss setting new objectives or explore the possibility of concluding our therapeutic journey. It's vital to emphasize that there is no fixed timeline for therapy; the pace and duration are entirely within your control. This journey belongs to you, and I am here to provide support every step of the way.
