Getting to know Nelda Carlson

It is my goal in life to be present in the moment, mindful of the beauties of life but also realistic about the challenges life entails. At this point in my life, I have experienced many ups and downs and have utilized positive thinking, solution-focused problem solving, and communication to help navigate the journey. With a Master’s in Social Work from Louisiana State University, I am equipped to provide these same coping techniques and problem-solving strategies to others who wish to improve their quality of life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

To help others I feel that listening and providing feed-back is a must. It is not my intent to dictate what needs to be done but to facilitate the process so the solution will become obvious. My belief is that each person has knowledge of the root of their problems but have not been able to put the pieces of the puzzle together to create a better image of themselves in this challenging world we live in.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
