Getting to know Nephaterria Harris

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Nourished Mind Counseling & Consulting, where I help individuals reconnect with themselves through a holistic approach that blends traditional talk therapy with nutritional and integrative mental health practices. If you’re feeling emotionally stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—from others or even from yourself—know that you’re not alone. Many of my clients come to me looking for deeper healing, not just symptom relief. Together, we’ll explore the root causes of what you’re feeling and create space for you to heal emotionally, mentally, and physically.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I believe therapy should feel safe, empowering, and personalized. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all mental health care. I take time to understand the full picture—your story, your patterns, your physical wellness, and your emotional needs—so we can co-create a plan that aligns with your values and goals. Many of my clients appreciate that I bring in mind-body strategies, including lifestyle support, stress management tools, and nutritional guidance, especially when we’re addressing anxiety, depression, burnout, or trauma.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We’ll begin with a thorough intake session, where I get to know you and your unique history. From there, I’ll help you clarify what you want out of therapy—whether it’s healing from past experiences, improving relationships, building coping skills, or simply feeling more grounded in your day-to-day life. Together, we’ll develop a flexible treatment plan based on your goals. I typically draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and integrative wellness strategies. Sessions may include reflection, practical tools, and psychoeducation to help you make meaningful progress—inside and out. My goal is to help you build emotional resilience, reconnect with your sense of self-worth, and learn tools to thrive long after therapy ends.
