Psychotherapist
NJ
*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* As a Latina and South Asian woman, my goal is to heal intergenerational trauma by supporting clients experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other life challenges such as family and relationship issues. My approach focuses on helping you set healthy boundaries, reframe negative thought patterns, and challenge the inner narratives that tell you, "You are not enough." Together, we'll uncover your strengths and cultivate self-compassion, inviting more gratitude, stillness, and clarity into your life. Outside of therapy, I find my own moments of stillness and joy through exploring art exhibits, hiking scenic trails, and spending time by the ocean. These experiences inspire me to help clients create space for their own passions and reflections, empowering them to dream bigger, take meaningful risks, and embrace the possibilities ahead. You're here for a reason-something within you knows it's time to prioritize your mental health and well-being. Trusting yourself and the therapeutic process is the first step toward unlocking your full potential. Together, we'll create a safe, supportive space for you to grow, heal, and design a life that feels both authentic and fulfilling. Nia Kuttamperoor has a Master’s in Social Work from New York University. Nia is a Licensed Social Worker, LSW 44SL07108200 at Cerebral. Supervised by Anna Haber, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW 44SC05661800.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I enjoy working with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, and relationship issues. As a trauma-conscious clinician, I support clients in exploring how their identities, family histories, and past experiences shape their lives, helping them find pathways to connection and fulfillment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Imagine entering a warm, welcoming space where you can express yourself freely without judgment. Together, we’ll cultivate authenticity and empathy, beginning with gentle breath work or movement to ground and reconnect you to your body. At your own pace, these practices become part of a holistic approach to healing, helping you build self-regulation skills and face life’s challenges with resilience and ease. Over time, this journey fosters a compassionate relationship with yourself, empowering you to approach each day with clarity, confidence, and self-compassion. This journey isn’t about rushing or forcing change. Instead, it’s about nurturing a steady, compassionate relationship with yourself, where every step forward is a step toward greater understanding, self-compassion, and strength.
