Psychotherapist
7300 Eldorado Pkwy, Ste 270, McKinney, TX
Hi, my name is Nia Nimmers. I am from Los Angeles, California and moved to Texas in 2020. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Religion and my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University. I specialize in couples therapy, systemic individual therapy, and Christian counseling. I have a passion for both premarital counseling, setting you and your future spouse up for success, as well as high-conflict couples on the brink of divorce. I have experience with premarital, dating, discernment (should we stay together), newlywed, all the way up to senior couples. I love fighting for the institution of marriage in collaboration with a hardworking couple. I will work just as hard as you to cultivate healing in your relationship, and provide you the practical tools you need to maintain a healthy marriage outside of counseling. I have a systemic background, which also enhances the individual therapy experience. I love working with individuals and helping them with their sense of self, relationship issues, familial issues, stress, anxiety, or grief. I am committed to walk alongside you in whatever storm life has brought your way. To help you work through your emotions, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and grow in understanding of who you are. I will be with you every step of the way.
