Getting to know Nicholas Bloniarz

I provide therapy for teens, adults, couples, and families to help them in navigating life’s challenges while building a greater sense of clarity, purpose, and resilience. I incorporate evidence-based approaches–including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – to support my clients in creating meaningful (and lasting) change. I come offering experience working with individuals facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and substance use. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply seeking support during a difficult time, I offer a safe, supportive space where we can explore what is going on and work toward healing together. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, narrative-focused, and client-centered. I believe it works best when it is grounded in your values, goals, and unique life experiences, while drawing from each modality to tailor treatment to your needs. As a team, we can explore what barriers are holding you back and build the skills to help you overcome those challenges. Prior to my time at SAVI Therapy Group, I spent 3 years as a mental health therapist for a nonprofit agency in Kane County. In addition to working with clients in individual, couples, and family therapy, I also assisted clients in navigating their experiences through the legal system and the Kane County Treatment Alternative Court (TAC) program.
