Psychotherapist

I believe therapy should empower clients to achieve meaningful, lasting progress rather than keep them dependent on treatment. My goal is to help clients build skills and stability so that, over time, sessions can be spaced further apart as they gain confidence and independence. I work with adults, teens, seniors, and couples, using an existential foundation while integrating evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing. My specialties include anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, substance use and process addictions, and challenges with daily functioning. I also have a special passion for supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and those with intellectual disabilities.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often tell me they appreciate my direct but compassionate style. I see therapy as a collaborative effort: I provide structure, tools, and guidance, while clients do the brave and challenging work of applying these changes in their daily lives. I honor the effort it takes to face difficult emotions, patterns, and experiences, and I approach each client with respect and encouragement.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our work together, I focus on understanding your values, strengths, and goals. Early sessions are dedicated to building a clear picture of what brings you to therapy and what progress would look like for you. From there, I tailor strategies using methods such as CBT, DBT, or ACT to give you practical tools for managing challenges and moving toward your goals. Over time, as you develop greater stability and resilience, we work toward reducing session frequency while ensuring you feel supported and equipped for lasting change.
