Getting to know Nicholas Hunter

The reason I started The Peace Well was to impact Cincinnati for good-to walk through the difficult stuff of life with people like you and to provide a space where you can be heard and known. I want to see this region thrive in emotional and mental health. A little more about me-I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. My wife and I have two beautiful children, a daughter and a son. I love family, music, and helping people find wholeness. I also enjoy leading worship and making music of any kind.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I do 45 minute sessions which can fit nicely into a busy person's schedule. My style is calm and non-directive. I believe clients are the best experts at themselves and I do my best to help them unlock that knowledge and experience. I show respect and empathy to every client who sits in front of me, using a nonjudgmental and caring tone. I like using metaphor and imagery to help people see things from a relatable perspective and discover new things about themselves and their situation. It would be an honor to work with you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I balance a practical approach to goal setting and problem solving with a desire to get to the root of the issue and help true change occur.

I am in network with a few insurances, and we also accept out of network payments. If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA), we accept those. Some insurance providers reimburse for out of network costs. Give your provider a call and see if this is a possibility. Then we’ll provide the needed statements to submit. We also offer a sliding fee scale if you are paying out of pocket and aren't able to cover the full cost.
