Getting to know Nicholas Lueloff

My name is Nicholas W. Lueloff, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Elm Grove, WI. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. I have extensive experience working with all ages and particularly enjoy working with teens and adults. I use a therapy method that helps you identify negative patterns of thoughts and behaviors and apply concepts to help you shift these patterns while building on your strengths. This approach helps you build self-confidence, better manage life’s challenges, improve symptoms, and change problematic thinking. I specialize in helping individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, difficulties in relationships, navigating life challenges, and peer relationships. If you’re ready to take the courageous first step toward positive change, reach out today.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am committed to fostering a safe and nurturing environment that encourages exploration and growth. My approach is tailored to each individual, focusing on enhancing mental health and enriching the overall quality of life. Whether you’re navigating life’s challenges or seeking to develop effective coping strategies, my mission is to guide you toward achieving your personal goals in a supportive, non-judgmental setting. I believe you are the expert in yourself and your experiences. I am trained and experienced in multiple therapeutic approaches and together we will decide how those fit into your therapy, lifestyle, and goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The initial session is different than sessions moving forward. The initial visit is about getting to know each other and developing an understanding of what is bringing you to therapy and what goals you have for therapy. I use a semi structured approach in the first session to help guide us, but what you choose to share is entirely up to you. In follow up sessions we will discuss relevant concepts and how these may apply to your primary concerns. We will use the time to process information and identify helpful coping skills. There may be times where you are asked to focus on certain things, apply concepts, or complete homework assignments in between therapy sessions. Keep in mind that everyone's therapeutic process is different. You are the guide in our sessions and we will identify ways to make our time helpful and productive for you.

In-network insurances

Nicholas Lueloff, LPC has 200+ in-network plans.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

More information on payments and coverage

I am currently in network with WI Medicaid/ Forward Health, United HealthCare (UHC), Optum, UMR, Quartz, Dean, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, CCHP, Carelon Behavioral Health, WPS, and Centivo. If you are not an enrolled member of these insurances all sessions are self-pay or out-of-pocket. I can provide a superbill which includes language and diagnostic codes insurance companies recognize. If your insurance company accepts out-of-network mental health providers you may be reimbursed for a portion of your cost after submitting the superbill to your insurance company. It is the client's responsibility to pay the full agreed upon fee for service at the time services are rendered regardless of insurance arrangements. Insurance companies require a diagnosis and often detailed information about your treatment including goals and progress. With this information they can also set limitations for session frequency and length. Paying out of pocket provides more privacy and confidentiality as therapists are not required to provide diagnostic codes or detailed information about your sessions to insurance companies. It also allows for a more personally tailored approach designed specifically to meet your individual needs and preferences. I believe therapy decisions should be made by you and your therapist rather than insurance companies.
